Perennial. Stems 55-120 cm, glabrous below, with blackish stipitate glands in floral region. Leaves whorled, petiole of lower to 2.5 cm, upper sessile; lamina 3-10 cm, lower ± deeply pinnatifid with large terminal lobe, upper lanceolate, undivided; apex acuminate, base cuneate, margin sharply serrate. Bracts narrowly linear, ± entire. Inflorescence aphyllous, cymes 5-9-flowered, usually whorled, distant, ascending; bracteoles 2.5-6.5 mm, linear to lanceolate, acuminate to acute. Alar pedicels 8-12.5 mm, glandular. Calyx lobes ovate to orbicular, 1 .5-2.5 x 1 .5-2.5 mm, glabrous, with white scarious margin. Corolla green, tinged brown in lower part, 5-6 mm, lobes subequal. Stamens exserted; staminode absent. Capsule ovoid, 6-8x3.5-4 mm, apiculate, glabrous. Fl. 6-7. Water meadows, rocky igneous slopes and gullies, 80-2400 m.
