Bushy, stems herbaceous or woody at extreme base, 40-80 cm. Leaflets in 3-5 pairs, coriaceous, lanceolate to ovate, 3-8 x 1-3,5 cm, acute to bluntly acuminate. Inflorescence large and showy, the axis densely furnished with dark, minutely stipitate glands and short pubescence. Sepals lanceolate, acute. Petals elliptic-lanceolate, 2-2,5 mm, white to pink or bluish, with purple dots and streaks. Filaments glandular above. Capsule c. 2 cm in diameter, densely furnished with dark glands, with avariably developed apical corniculus on each segment. Fl. 5-6. Dry scrub and pine forests, 300-900 m.
