Closely related to G. adhaerens but stems usually without soft, patent hairs, ± retrorsely aculeolate; branches of inflorescence ± antrorsely aculeolate; corolla white, 1.5-3 mm diam., lobes acute, not aristate; mericarps subglobose, c. 1.5-1.75 mm diam., granulate-papillate.
