Procumbent pubescent perennial with a branched woody stock. Flowering stem 20-60 mm, usually longer than the leaves. Leaves ternate; petiole 10-55 mm, leaflets 5-10 mm, obovate-cuneate, apex 3-toothed, the terminal longer than the laterals, pubescent or glabrous. Flowers 3-5 in short cymes. Sepals 4-5 x 2 mm, acute. Petals 2-2,5 mm, yellow, obovate, veins anastomosing. Achenes 1,5-2 mm, smooth, shining. Fl. 6-7. Damp soil nr. snow patches, pasture, 1500-3650 m.
