Differs from V. triphyllos by taller stature , all hairs longer ; leaves 10-20 x 5-15 mm; pedicels 18-30 mm, 2-3 x bracts, patent and hooked upwards below fruit ; corolla 20-24 mm diam.; capsule sparsely puberulent with eglandular and glandular hairs; sinus less deep ; style 6-8 mm, much exceeding sinus; seeds yellowish. Fl. 3-4. Macchie, rocky non-calcareous slopes, 300-700 m.
