Glandular-villous annual. Stems slender, flexuous, laxly branched. Leaves orbicular to broadly ovate, base cordate or truncate, apex rounded or obtuse, often mucronate; petiole very short. Pedicels usually pilose throughout, 5-15 mm in flower, 1-2 x subtending leaf. Calyx lobes ovate, immarginate, 2,5-3,5 mm in flower, subcordate and to 5 mm in fruit, ± hiding capsule. Corolla 5-6 mm, yellow with dark violet upper lip; spur 5-6 mm, curved or ± straight. Capsule c. 3 mm. Seeds c. 1 mm, rugulose-alveolate. Fl. 6-9. Stream banks,fallow fields and field margins, roadsides, s.I.-1350 m.
