Bulb to 3 cm diam., often with bulblets. Stem 15-45 cm. Leaves 4-11, alternate. Perianth broadly campanulate; segments recurved, green with brown markings but not tessellated, outer 2.5-4 x 0.6-1.1 cm, lanceolate to oblanceolate, inner 1.1-2.5 cm broad, truncate or retuse, usually broadly apiculate. Nectaries 5-11 x 24 mm, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, blackish or greenish, 5 mm above perianth base. Filaments 6-12 mm, papillose. Style 8-12 mm, 3-fid; branches 3-5 mm, slender, smooth. Capsule not winged.
