Perennial, 25-60 cm, simple or little-branched, densely white-woolly below, glabrescent above. Middle cauline leaves lanceolate to oblong, 1-3 x 0.5-1 cm, acutish, distinctly crenate-dentate. Verticillasters 7-15, 6-flowered, 1-4.5 cm distant. Middle bracts finely adpressed tomentose, eglandular, orbicular to reniform, 0.7-1.2 x 0.9-1.5 cm, suddenly acuminate . Calyx 7.5-8.5 mm, with spreading eglandular hairs to 4 mm, teeth 3-4 mm, linear, acute to acuminate, tube with interspersed short glands.
