Sparingly adpressed-pubescent, mostly branched from base; stems ascendent to erect, 8-40 cm. Stipules lanceolate-acuminate, entire. Leaflets glabrescent, obovate- to obcordate-cuneate, denticulate, truncate or emarginate, 7-13 x 4-11 mm, glaucescent below. Peduncle 2-5 cm. Flowers 4-8, finally deflexed, forminga lax long-awned raceme, awn 3-7 mm. Calyx campanulate, 3 mm; teeth lanceolate, about as long as tube. Corolla bright yellow, 6-7 mm. Legumes forming a loose raceme, terete, curved or falcate, adpressed-puberulent, nerved lengthwise, strangulate between the seeds, 10-25 x2-3 mm, seed-bearing part 7-20 mm, 2-5 seeded, abruptly tapering into a 3-5 mm beak. Seeds ovate to oblong, 2-2,5 x 1,5 mm, very finely tubercled. Fl. 4-6. Rocky slopes, Quercetum, water meadows, 300-1500 m.
