Petioles 25—40 mm rachis ending in a strongly branched, long tendril; leaflets 1-paired, ovate, 40-45 x 15-17 mm; stipules semi-sagittate, narrowly lanceolate, 5-6 x 1 mm, lower segment small. Inflorescence 1-3-flowered; peduncles longer than leaves, 6-9 cm, Pedicels 5-7 mm, Calyx 2-lipped, teeth broadly triangular, lower teeth subequal to, upper teeth much shorther than tube. Corolla 35--40 mm, violet-crimson when dry; standard magenta-pink, broadly orbicular, short-clawed, 36-40 x 40-45 mm; wings purple or crimson 30-34 x 12 mm, ; keel pink 25 x 11 mm. Staminal tube 30-32 mm. Style spathulate, twisted, 11-13 x 1.5-1.7 mm. Legumes glabrous. Ovules 20-25 per pod. Fl. 5. Scrub and rocky slopes, 200 m.
