Ascending shrub, 30-50 cm, branches and petioles usually with dense patent hairs, but occasionally somewhat adpressed-hairy. Leaflets 7-15 x 3-6 mm, oblanceolate, obovate or elliptic, densely ± adpressed villous or sericeous on both surfaces. Flowers in heads of 2-4. Calyx densely patent-hairy. Corolla yellow; standard 18-25 mm, sparsely sericeous. Legume c. 30 mm, densely patent-lanate. Fl. 5-6. Mountain slopes, hillsides, pine forests, 600-1600 m.
