Caulescent perennial, c. 1 m. Leaves 10-30 cm; leaflets 20-35 mm, narrowly elliptic, acute or obtuse, glabrous above, sparsely long-simple-pilose below, 15-20-paired; stipules 10-25 mm, lanceolate, sparsely long-pilose. Inflorescence sessile, 6-9 x3,5-4 cm, oblong to cylindrical, dense, with 50-70 sessile flowers. Bracts 14-17 mm, lanceolate with a ciliate margin. Calyx 12-15 mm, tubular, densely long-pilose; teeth ±equal, 3-4 mm, linear. Corolla yellowish; standard 18-22 mm, glabrous or sparsely hairy. Young legume ovate, compressed densely pilose. Fl. 7-8. Mountainous districts, 1200-2340 m.
