Glabrous shrub to 2 m, with falsely dichotomous branching. Cauline leaves and ray-leaves linear- or elliptic-lanceolate, 2-6 x 0.3-0.8 cm, obtuse, mucronulate, entire. Raylet-leaves rhombic-ovate to reniform, 0.5-1 x 1-1.5 cm, yellowish. Rays 5. Glands suborbicular, shortly 2-homed. Fruit 6-7 mm diam., deeply 3-lobed, lobes laterally compressed, ± smooth. Seeds laterally compressed-ovoid, 2.5-3 mm, smooth, pale grey; caruncle hemispherical. Fl. 3-5. Rocky limestone slopes, usually nr the sea, 10-400 m.
