Similar to C. cataonicus, but differing in having axillary flowers solitary or paired, shortly pedicellate; outer sepals sparsely adpressed-pubescent, obovate-oblong, 7-9 mm incl. green 1-2,5 mm cuspidate apex, corolla cream, 16-23 mm; ovary pubescent to glabrous. Fl. 6-7. Alpine pastures, Astragalus steppe, disturbed steppe, on serpentine, 1700-2100 m.
