Annual, 15-25 cm, puberulent, non-viscid but sometimes with capitate glands above. Leaves linear to oblong-linear. Inflorescence 1-5-flowered. Calyx 25-30 nerved, with long spreading hairs as well as shorter, capitate hairs in fruit, 13-15 mm, with subulate teeth c. 7 mm somewhat recurved in fruit. Petals pink, the limb 1-2 mm broad, bidentate to bifid. Anthophore up to 1 mm. Capsule 8-11 mm. Ft. 4-5. Alt. 300-1600 m.
