Height 9-20 cm, lower leaves often present in fruit. Leaves 5-40 x 2-11 mm. Inflorescence ± globose. Bracts broadly ovate to orbicular, membranous, nervose, ciliate on margin, c. 4 x 4 mm. Flowers lilac to pinkish. Fruit 4-6 x 4-6 mm, inflated. FI. 4-6. Rocky slopes,fields, s.l-2000 m.
