Height 7-20 cm, lower leaves often present in fruit, 14-40 x 2-7 mm. Inflorescence globose. Bracts broadly ovate, membranous, nervose, the margins ciliate,3-5 x 2,5 mm. Flowers pink or lilac. Fruit c. 6 mm overall, calyx spreading to 10 mm, lobes 6, hooked at apices and on margins, ovary c. 3 mm wide. FI. 3-5. Rocky slopes, screes, s.l.-1100 m.
