Caespitose semi-shrub up to 18 cm, with long trailing roots, much branched; indumentum of papillae, especially on flowering shoots. Leaves oblong or linear-lanceolate, uninerved, scabrid at margins, opposite and decussate; young leaves clustered in axils, sessile. Petals white, 1-nerved, fragrant, 5-8 x 2-3,5 mm. Filaments neither connate nor toothed; anthers not apiculate. Inflorescence compact, little elongating in fruit. Ovary 2-locular, 2-ovuled. Fruiting pedicels erect-ascending, 2-6 mm. Siliculae ovate-obcordate, c. 5 x 4 mm; septum 3-4 x 2 mm, wings absent but fruit flat at periphery; sinus c. 0,5 mm; style ± 0,5 mm. Seeds 2-4, neither mucilaginous, nor papillose. Fl. 5-6. Stony slopes and limestone screes, 1700-2400 m.
