Annual or biennial, 15-40 cm. single-stemmed but branched above, sparsely pilose below, glabrous above. Basal leaves bipinnate, long-petiolate, lobes linear, apiculate. Middle and upper cauline leaves broadly ovate or ovate-orbicular. Petals yellow, 1-1.5 x 0.5 mm, narrowly spathulate. Fruiting pedicels ascending, 3-7 mm. Siliculae variable in shape, broad-orbicular to ovate, 3-5 x 2.5-4.5 mm, narrowly winged above; style very short, scarcely exceeding sinus; septum 3.5 x 1-1.5 mm. Cotyledons shortly stalked. Fl. 5-6. Cultivated land, waste places, stony slopes, salt steppes; s.l.-1400 m.
