Annual or biennial, 10-20 cm,branched from base, indumentum of varying density of short white hairs. Leaves linear-spathulate or linear, distributed over stem, not rosette-forming. Cauline leaves entire. Inflorescence loosely racemose. Petals white to lilac, clawed, inner 4,5-6,5 x 2,5-3 mm; outer 5-9 x 3-4 mm. Ovules 2. Fruiting pedicels 5-12 mm, horizontally spreading. Fruit ovate, 7,5-9 x 6,5-7 mm; wing 2-3 mm; sinus 1-1,5 mm; septum 6 x c. 1 mm. Style 1,5-3 mm. Seeds 1-2, often margined, mucilaginous or not. Fl. 4-6. Rocky slopes and screes, 400-2900 m.
