Perennial herb. Scapes erect, glabrous, 5-10 cm. Leaves rigid, linear to linear, obovate, pectinate-ciliate with simple hairs only. Petals yellow, 4,5-5 mm. Fruiting inflorescence lax. Ovary with 32-36 ovules. Siliculae ellipsoid, 4-6 x 2 mm, at first with a sparse indumentum of simple hairs, later glabrous. Style c. 1 mm. Fl. 5. Two varieties may be recognised:

1. Leaves spreading, 3-6 mm .......................var. rigida

1. Leaves inflexed, up to 2 mm .....................var. bryoides
