Delicate annual, 5-17 cm, with a single unbranched stem or branched from base. Indumentum at base of stem fairly dense, of small, irregularly branched stellate hairs, at apex of inflorescence glabrescent. Basal leaves rosette-forming, usually withered by fruiting time, runcinate-pinnatifid or simple, narrowed at base into broad stalk. Cauline leaves oblong or oblong-Ianceolate. Petals 3-3,5 x 1,5-2 mm, broad-obovate. Ovary 7-9-ovulate. Fruiting pedicels 5-15 mm, erect-ascending. Fruit 6-7x2-2,5 mm, subacute at apex. Fl. 3.-5. Rocky slopes, often limestone, c. 700 m.
