Resembling M. coerulea Lehm., especially in growth-habit, leaf-shape and indumentum, but corolla intense yellow, with a shorter tube and nutlets punctate-rugose, acute, without a beak. Fl. 4-6. Calcareous steppes and screes, tufa hills, 300-1300 m.
Endemic. Related to M. coerulea. Ir-Tur. element.
