Like B. macrophylla but glandular-pubescent; stems 15-35 cm; basal leaves subacute to acute, lamina 8-12 -1·5-3 cm, ovate-Ianceolate to elliptic, attenuate into a 2-5 cm petiole; cauline to 8 x 3·5 cm, ± elliptic, subsessile to sessile; calyx 2-3 mm, strongly accrescent in fruit to 5 mm, surpassing nutlets; nutlets ± prominently ribbed. Fl. 4-7. Shady banks, Quercus forest and scrub, Pinus nigra and Abies cilicica forest, 600-2350 m.
