Glabrous or glandular-arachnoid perennial with stems up to 200 cm. Leaves glabrous above, glabrous or glandular-arachnoid below, dentate; basal petiolate, reniform; lower cauline deltate with winged petiole; upper cauline sessile, lanceolate-elliptic. Capitula discoid, 0,6-1,2 cm broad, numerous in a compound corymb. Phyllaries 4-6 mm, oblong, acuminate, ± glabrous or sparsely arachnoid with broad scarious margin. Calycular bracts 3-4 mm, linear. Disc flowers yellow. Achene 4-4,5 mm, glabrous. Pappus 6-8 mm, dirty white. Fl. 6-8. Forest, scrub, damp places, 1400-1900 m.
