Rounded hemispherical shrublet up to 60 cm, lower parts composed of numerous branched twigs bearing terminally the current years 20-25 cm stems, moderately greyish-pubescent, 1-3-headed, foliate below, upper ½ of stems leafless. Leaves 2-pinnatisect, pubescent on both surfaces, 1,5-2 cm with c. 5 pairs of primary segments, lowest 2-3 pairs simple, lanceolate or oblanceolate, 1-3x 0,5 mm, upper segments 3-fid, 5-7 mm long, lobes acute; upper leaves 1-pinnatisect or 3-fid. Capitula discoid only; involucre 0,7 cm broad; phyllaries ovate-lanceolate, 2,5-3 x 1,5 mm, moderately pubescent; margins pale brown. Disc flowers yellow, 2,25 mm. Paleae oblanceolate, c 3 mm, shortly pointed. Achenes 1,5 mm smooth with indistinct angles and ribs; corona almost absent, reduced to a low rim. Fl. 7. Schistose rocks, 1400-1600 m.
