Decumbent annual, greyish-pubescent at least at first. Stems branched and radiating from base, 2-10 cm. Leaves 2-pinnatisect, 1-5 cm, ovate-oblong in outline, lobes oblanceolate, 0,5-1 mm broad, acute. Capitula discoid; peduncles becoming thickened and downwardly curved. Involucre 5-10 mm broad, indurated at base; inner phyllaries lanceolate, acute, narrowly scarious-margined. Receptacle convex; paleae oblanceolate, acute. Corollas 3-3,5 mm, not becoming inflated at base. Achenes ± terete, shallowly 10-ribbed, c. 2-2,5 mm, apex oblique, shortly coronate or subauriculate. Fl. 3-5. Sandy banks and cliffs near sea.
