Stem 40-60 cm, glabrous, angled. Leaves shortly petiolate, ovate-lanceolate, c. 80 x 30-40 mm, gradually tapered to acute apex, with 3-6 translucent veins parallel to midrib, glabrous. Peduncles 1-2-flowered. Perianth c. 25 mm, gradually expanded towards apex, teeth glabrous at tips. Berry black.
