Muscari serpentinicum

Bulb globose to ovoid, 1,2-2,5 cm in diameter. Outer tunics papery, pale dull brown; inner tunics ceramy white. Leaves 6-8, narrowly linear-lanceolate, 6-19 cm x 4-8 m strongly canaliculate, with distinct pale or whitish midvein, apex acute. Scape 1-2, 5-15 cm, longer, equal or shorter than leaves. Raceme compact, cylindrical or narrowly pyramidal, 3-5 x 1,5-2 cm, 25-90-flowered. Pedicels of fertile flowers 2-5 mm, elongating in fruit to 5-7 mm. Fertile flowers obovate-urceolate, 3-4,2 x 1,8-2,5 mm, shoulders deep violet-black; lobes pale purple to purplish white, erect or slightly recurved, 0,5 mm. Outer filaments 0,5-0,9 mm; inner filaments 0,9-1,3 mm; anthers purplish-black, 0,7-1 x 0,5-0,7 mm. Pollen colourless. Ovary yellowish-green, subglobose, 1,4-1,7 mm, style whitish, 1-1,2 mm, stigma punctate. Pedicels of sterile flowers ascending to horizontal, 0,2-1,2 mm. Sterile flowers narrowly obovate-oblong, 8-14 x 1,5-3,5 mm, pale purplish-blue to ice blue. Capsule broadly ovate to orbicular, obtuse to emarginate, 5-6 x 6-8 mm, valves not strongly compressed. Seeds 3 per capsule, c. 2 mm wide, ovoid-globose, strongly papillate, dark brown to black. Fl. & Fr. 3-5
