Leaves to 7 x 6 cm, subsessile, broadly ovate or suborbicular, acute or shortly acuminate, subcordate at base, glabrous or only slightly pubescent on main nerves beneath. Cymes glomerate or capitate, distinctly pedunculate, puberulent; pedicels 1-3 mm. Calyx lobes triangular, acute. Corolla dark purple, c. 7 mm diam.; lobes oblong, glabrous. Follicles 4-6 x 0.6-1 cm, acuminate, glabrous. Fl. 8.
