Bulb ovoid, 1.5-3 cm diam., tunicate. Leaves carinate, 30-40 x 1-2 cm, glabrous. Scape to 110 cm, terete. Flowers 11-28, ± campanulate, greenish-white. Pedicels unequal, 3-8 cm. Outer perianth segments ovate, 17 x 8.5 mm, apex slightly cucullate, 5-veined, lateral veins incomplete; inner 15 x 9.5 mm, broadly clawed, apiculate, 1-veined; claw 2.5 x 3 mm. Filaments 3.5-4mm; anthers 1.75 mm. Style 5.5 mm, stigma slightly lobed. Ovules 3-5 per loculus; seeds 2-3, 3 mm. 2n = 18. Fl. 5-6. Fields, dry places.
