Bulb 2-2.5 cm diam.; outer tunics papery, blackish. Leaves 1-2, elliptic-oblong or ovate-oblong, 2.5-6 cm broad, glaucous, obtuse and mucronate or subacute, scabrid on margin. Spathe 1-2 cm, 2-4-lobed, shorter than umbel. Umbel fastigiate-hemispherical, 4-6 cm diam., many-flowered. Pedicels 1-2 cm. Perianth broadly campanulate; segments dirty mauve, silvery purplish-pink, lilac-pink or purple, rarely dirty white, narrowly elliptic-oblong, 6.5-8.5 mm, subobtuse. Filaments pinkish-purple, 1/2 x perianth segments. Capsule 4-5 mm. Fl 5-6. Rocky igneous or shaley slopes, igneous scree, steppe, 1650-3400 m.
