Low shrub. Leaves oblanceolate to very narrowly elliptic, fleshy, glaucous. Flowers terminal on short, leafy lateral branches. Bracts numerous, ± adpressed to the calyx. Sepals 3,5-4,5 mm, united below, the lobes broadly triangular, mucronate. Petals pink, 9-11 mm. Capsule ± globose, opening by 5 valves. Seeds densely hairy. Fl. 7-9. Saline steppe, 900-1050 m.
