Biennial, 23-25 cm, blackish when dry. Stems subterete, sparingly glandular below, inflorescence with more numerous glands and clusters of hyaline hairs bearing minute apical glands. Basal leaves broadly ovate to suborbicular, c. 32 x 28 mm, margin crenate; cauline 2-pinnatisect, lower with long petiole upper more shortly petiolate; lamina to 40 mm, ultimate segments oblong to obovate, margin dentate to pinnatifid. Inflorescence aphyllous, cymes alternate, 2-7-flowered. Lowest bracts deeply trisect, 7 mm, upper linear, 1,5 mm; lowest peduncles to 13 mm, sparingly glandular; bracteoles linear-lanceolate, 1 mm, glabrous; alar pedicel glandular, 2-2,5 mm, exceeding bracteoles. Calyx lobes ± obovate, glabrous; scarious margin whitish, 0,2 mm broad. Corolla greenish-pink, c. 5 mm, urceolate, lobes subequal , upper purplish with narrow yellow border. Stamens shortly exserted; staminode purple, ovate to spade-shaped, not as broad as upper lip. Capsule unknown. Fl. 5. Grassy places.
