Differs from R. phoenicia as follows: stem weak, trailing; prickles rather slender and sparse; leaflets 5-7, broadly elliptic to ovate, 1,5-3,5 x 1-2 cm, ± acute with a rounded base, usually uniserrate, teeth usually 9-15 on each side, rather small, acuminate, dull green, glabrescent or sparsely pubescent, at least beneath; flowers solitary or 2-6 together; sepal tips long, slightly dilated, lobes lanceolate, often glandular-serrulate, eglandular or sparsely glandular on the back; stylar column glabrous. Fl. 8. Scrub on slopes and banks, 900-1200 m.
