Spinescent tree up to 10 m; twigs with a greyish, silky pubescence. Leaves narrowly to broadly lanceolate, broadest in the upper half of the lamina, entire or serrulate, bilaterally greyish-silky-pubescent; decurrent at base; sessile or shortly petiolate. Flowers 2-2,5 cm diam., white. Fruit globose or pyriform, up to 2 cm diam., downy at first, becoming glabrous, yellowish-brown or golden; sepals persistent; pedicels thick, shorter than the fruit. FI. 4-5. Dry stony slopes, 1700-1900 m.
