Low shrub. Young twigs puberulent or glabrous, bud scales glabrous. Leaves broadly ovate, 3-5 x 2,5-3,5 cm, crenate-serrulate, glabrous on both surfaces, dark green above, yellowish green below, usually subcordate at base, with 7-10 veins on each side; petiole 5-10 mm, glabrous. Fruit 3 mm diam. Fl. 5? On dry slopes and adpressed to rocks, 1500-2900 m.
