Annual, erect, 2-8 cm, unbranched or slightly branched above, becoming brownish when dry. Stems puberulent with upward-curved 0,05-0,2 mm hairs, eglandular. Petiole 0-2 mm, lamina linear or oblanceolate, rarely elliptic, 4-12 x 1,5-3,5 mm, entire, glabrous. Raceme 5-20-flowered, axis straight; eglandular-puberulent and glandular-pubescent with scattered 5-6-celled 0,2-0,4 mm glandular hairs. Fruiting pedicels 2-4 mm, 0,5-1 x bracts, horizontally patent and hooked vertically upwards below fruit, pubescent with ± adpressed very short eglandular and 4-5-celled 0,2-0,3 mm glandular hairs. Bracts and calyx lobes lanceolate to linear. Corolla blue or white, 2-3 mm diam. Style 0,3-1,1 mm. Capsule hygrochastic, 1,5-3,5 x 3,5-5 mm, equalling calyx, or slightly longer, brownish, glandular-ciliate, otherwise usually subglabrous; sinus ½  x capsule; base broadly truncate to subcordate; style 1/3-1/2 x sinus. Seeds 20-34, elliptic to oblong, 0,8-1,1 x 0,5-0,8 mm, ± convex, smooth, ventrally with no chalazal podium but with an eccentric minute dot-like circular depression; sticky when wet. Fl. 5-7. Stream banks, damp, wet, clayish, muddy places, 1500-2400 m.

1-Style 0,8-1,1 mm; fruiting pedicels 4-6 mm, 1-1,5 x bracts; corolla white; capsule 2,7-3,5 x 4,5-5 mm, sinus very narrow, lobes erect, not divergent; seeds brownish subsp. ixodes
