Suffruticose, repent to ascending, 10-20 cm. Leaves linear-lanceolate to lanceolate-ovate, 10-22 x 2-7 mm, sparsely pubescent with short upward-curved hairs or subglabrous, lower irregularly remotely serrate or subentire, upper usually entire, all ± revolute. Racemes 1-2, 15-30-flowered, sometimes with glandular hairs. Pedicels 5-6 mm, 1-2·5 mm x bracts. Calyx 3-5 mm, lobes 4-5. Corolla blue, 10-14 mm diam. Style 3,5-6 mm. Capsule obcordate, 3,5-5 x 4,5-6 mm, sparsely pubescent to glabrous. Fl. 5-6. Rocky slopes, alpine.,pastures, c, 1300-2100 m.
