Plant 10-30 cm. Leaves 3-5, ovate-oblong, c. 3-8 x 2-5 cm, upper lanceolate, acuminate. Spike dense, 5-20-flowered, lower bracts usually twice as long as flowers; Perianth ± globular, c. 3-5 mm, greenish-yellow, suffused brownish. Labellum c. 8 mm, 3-toothed, middle lobe much shorter, yellowish-green, apical part reddish-brown; base of labellum with median callus and 2 lateral ones which are connected with sides of column. Spur extremely short, obtuse, entrance compressed by 2 transverse constrictions. Fl. 6-7. Grassy hillsides, alpine meadows, 600-2900 m.
