Stems fleshy, very elongate. Leaves petiolate, bases sheathing stem; mature blade 5-8 x 4-6,5 cm, broadly elliptic to orbicular with a deep basal sinus; margin sinuate to entire. Flowers in clusters of 5-7 in axils of leaves. Pedicels 3-10 cm. Calyx 10-13 mm, lobes oblong-Ianceolate. Corolla yellow, 15-22 mm, p. 35 mm diam., broadly infundibular, lobes fimbriate. Stamens inserted in corolla throat. Fl. 7-9. Standing or slow-flowing water.
