Tall perennial. Sterns tomentose to glabrescent, with an indumentum of small stellate hairs. Upper leaves divided almost to the base into 3-7 oblong-lanceolate or oblong-oblanceolate, often lobulate segments, tomentose to glabrescent, with an indumentum of stellate hairs. Involucre up to ½  as long as calyx, or a little longer. Sepals somewhat striate in flower. Petals pink, whitish or yellowish at the base. Mericarps rugose. FI. 5-6. Slopes, vineyards, cultivated land.
