Bulb to 2 cm diam. Stem 20-30 cm, smooth. Leaves 2-3, ovate-lanceolate, amplexicaule, alternate; lowest 9-17 x 1,4-5 cm. Flowers solitary; perianth narrowly campanulate, yellow; segments 18-22 mm, lanceolate, outer c. 7 mm, inner c. 9 mm, broad. Nectaries 3 mm, green, linear-lanceolate, at base of perianth. Filaments 6 mm, papillose. Style 5-7 mm, very stout, papillose. Capsule not winged. Fl. 4. Pinus brutia forest on limestone; 400-1450 m.
