Marrubium rotundifolium
Marrubium rotundifolium
Kalartopu
Erect, somewhat branched perennial. Stems 30-40 cm, densely white pilose. Cauline leaves broadly elliptic or ovate, shortly petiolate, 35-42 x 26-40 mm, crenate, densely stellate-pilose above and beneath; hairs with long terminal branches, thus appearing simple. Verticillasters several-flowered; bracteoles about as long as calyx tube. Calyx tube 5-6 mm, scabrous with stellate hairs which sometimes have long terminal branches; teeth erect or slightly spreading, somewhat unequal, stellate-pilose for most of their length, glabrous indurated tip very short. Corolla whitish, densely stellate-pubescent outside, upper lip less densely so within. Fl. 5-7. Calcareous slopes, 700-2000 m.
Endemic. E. Medit. element. Very similar to M. bourgaei and M.heterodon, but with differences in leaf size, indumentum and calyx teeth.
