Corm tunic fibrous, fibres slender, weakly reticulate. Leaves c. 6, hysteranthous or with tips just visible at anthesis, 0.5-1.25 mm broad. Prophyll present. Bracteole present, smaller than bract. Throat of perianth whitish or pale yellow, glabrous; segments 2.5-3 x 0.5-1 cm, obtuse to acute, white or very faintly mac, occasionally with dark veins near base. Filaments 2-6 mm, white or pale yellow, glabrous; anthers 1.2-1.5 cm, yellow. Style dividing into 3 orange-red branches, each 1.3-2 cm and more than 1/2 as long as perianth segments. 2n = 26. Fl. 10-11. Sparse Quercus woodland, 900-1250 m.
