Caespitose perennial. Basal leaves densely 2-3-pinnatisect, blade ovate, 1,5-4 cm x 1-2,2 cm, densely and patently pubescent, glandular or eglandular, laciniae shortly oblong, obtuse. Stems prostrate or ascending, retrorsely hirsute, villose or glandular-pubescent, bearing 1-4 peduncles that in male plants are often short. Petals white or purple, obovate, 1 ½ -2 xsepals. Sepals 4-6 mm, usually glandular-pubescent, with or without long eglandular hairs; awn 0,3-1 mm. Beak of fruit 3-4 cm, stout. Fl. 5-8. Screes and rocky slopes, 1100-2900 m.
Endemic? Mainly in the Ir.-Tur. region.
