Erect annual, glabrous, with 2-5 branches, 20-45 cm, upper branches winged. Stipules of lower leaves hair-like; of median leaves lanceolate, semi-hastate, 8-16 x 0.5-1.5 mm. Lowest leaves simple, linear, 35-80 x 1-2.5 mm; median leaves pinnate with 1-2-paired leaflets, aristate or with a simple tendril, leaflets linear, 25-65 x 1.5-3 mm; upper leaves with 3-4-paired leaflets and 3-sect tendrils, leaflets linearlanceolate, 10-25 x 1-3 mm. Petioles broadly winged, 2-11 cm in median and upper leaves. Peduncles 1-flowered, c. 2-3 mm, Calyx 12-18 mm, lower teeth longer than upper teeth. Flowers cleistogamous; corolla membranous, greenish-yellow, small, Legume compressed, broadly linear, strongly longitudinally 4-nerved , 45-75 x 8-11 mm, glabrous when young. Style spathulate, long hairy. Seeds 6-9, smooth, spherical, pale green, 5-6.5mm. FI. 4-5.
