Scrambling annual, 45–75 cm. Stem glabrous and narrowly winged. Leaf rachis, ending simple and sometimes as 3-sect tendrils; leaflets always 1-paired, linear–lanceolate, 15–80 x 1–6 mm, venation parallel; stipules semi-sagittate 4–6 x 0.5– 2 mm. Peduncles always 1-flowered, longer than leaves, 2–6 cm; pedicel 4–4.5 mm. Calyx 4–4.5 mm, teeth subequal, 1.8–2 mm, as long as a tube. Corolla light purple, 7–7.5 mm, standard glabrous. Legume linear, 25–38 x 4–7 mm and glabrous, upper suture wingless; style twisted, 4–6.5 mm; seeds light brown with dark brown spots, rough-surfaced, united, 6–8 per legume, 2 x 4 mm, hilum 0.5–1 mm.
