Scapose perennial. Leaves 10-20 cm; leaflets 6-17 mm, narrowly to broadly elliptic, obtuse, sparsely simple-villous on both surfaces, 14-20-paired; stipules 14-25 mm, lanceolate. Peduncles 1-4 cm. Flowers pedicellate in 1-5-flowered racemes. Bracts c. 10 mm, lanceolate. Calyx c. 16 mm, tubular, sparsely villous; teeth c. 3 mm, triangular. Corolla yellow; standard 30-36 mm. Style glabrous below stigma. Legume 25-35 mm, ellipsoid, inflated, glabrous; stipe 2-3 mm; beak c. 2 mm. Fl. 4-5. Marly banks, etc., 300-1100 m.
