Erect slender herb, divaricately branched, up to 50 cm. Leaflets linear, narrowly elliptic or elliptic, up to 3 cm. Inflorescence a raceme, the axis glandular-pubescent, with 7-30 flowers. Petals white, creamy or pinkish, often with pink markings. Capsules linear, torulose, stipitate or sessile, dehiscing along the placentas. Seeds 4-18. Fl. 6-8. Open places and woodland, waste ground, 300-1750 m.
